Jeff Holman draws from a broad background that spans law, engineering, and business.
Mr. Holman earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering on scholarship with a focus on radio frequency (RF) and wireless design. He also took extensive coursework in computer programming and computer engineering, as well as circuit design, digital signal processing (DSP), and ultrasound. While completing his engineering degree in only 3 years, he also worked as an intern and later associate a a design engineering firm.
After two years at the design engineering firm, Mr. Holman returned to the University of Utah on scholarship to earn his Juris Doctor (JD) from the SJ Quinney College of Law. He achieved multiple awards, focused his studies on intellectual property and business law, served as a student body officer, founded the Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA), and completed an internship with the Utah State Legislature.
He has practiced patent and intellectual property law in Silicon Valley, built and managed a law firm focused on IP transactions, helped "Shark Tank" inventors with legal and business strategy, and served as general counsel and corporate secretary for the leading innovator for consumer electronics waterproofing technology--where he managed engagements with top-brand customers, provided key legal oversight for equity and debt funding, and oversaw global IP strategy.
Mr. Holman also earned his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Brigham Young University, with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, funding, and finance.
